Savings Pursuant to the USA Patriot Act Pinal County FCU will verify certain information as required by the Bank Secrecy Act. 31 CFR 103.121 (b) (5) (i) USA Patriot Act Regulations-To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents. You must meet the membership requirements including purchase and maintenance of the minimum required shares as set forth in the by laws. You authorize us to check your account, credit and employment history and obtain reports from third parties, including credit reporting agencies, to verify your eligibility for the accounts and services you request. All deposit accounts are insured to $250,000 by the NCUA, a US government agency, at no cost to you! IRAs are insured to $250,000 by the NCUA at no cost to you. Notice: A fee (refer to Fee Schedule) may be charged for the payment of each overdraft item or Regulation D (exceeding 6 withdrawals in one month on savings/money market accounts). This fee may be charged for covering overdrafts created by check, in-person withdrawal, ATM withdrawal or other electronic means. All overdraft balances must be repaid within 30 days of overdrawing an account. The payment of overdrafts is discretionary and PCFCU reserves the right not to pay overdrafts. Examples of an account not in good standing are: A loan is more than 60 days past due, the account has exceeded its negative balance courtesy limit, or regular deposits are not being made.
