Credit Union Advocacy

Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives serving members who share something in common-employment, family, etc. More than 70 million U.S. consumers are member-owners of, and receive all or part of their financial services from credit unions across the nation.

As member owned, not-for-profit, cooperative financial institutions, credit unions play a significant role in your community, from philanthropy to financial literacy to political and legislative advocacy, at both the local and federal levels. Political advocacy is the backbone of a growing credit union movement. For more information on credit union advocacy and how you can help support the credit union movement, please follow the link to:
Credit Union Advocacy.

Your Arizona Credit Union League advocates on behalf of its members, keeping watch on existing and potential laws and polices that significantly affect our members' business and the credit union movement itself. We strive to educate Congress about our industry and guarantees that no decision is made that will affect our industry, good or bad, until our voice is heard.
